Circle LLP advises on the establishment of FSGRN's operating framework

Circle LLP acted as legal counsel on the establishment of the Federation of State Gaming Regulators of Nigeria's operating framework following the 2024 Supreme Court decision concerning gaming regulation in Nigeria.

The firm drafted the foundational operating agreement between participating state gaming regulators, establishing the legal basis for their reciprocity framework. The engagement concerned the arrangements through which the regulators would collaborate, with the operating agreement providing the foundation for that inter-state relationship.

Circle LLP's role focused on the legal documentation underpinning the framework. The mandate draws on the firm's gaming and regulatory practice, including its work on licensing, compliance and the legal structures supporting gaming businesses and institutions in Nigeria.
