Circle LLP acted as legal counsel to PowerLabs on its US$800,000 pre-seed financing. The round was led by Breega, with participation from Catalyst Fund, Mercy Corps Ventures and Kaleo Ventures.
PowerLabs develops energy technology that helps businesses monitor and manage their power systems. Its products bring energy-use information and operational tools together, supporting businesses that need to understand the performance of their power sources and manage energy costs.
Circle LLP advised the company in connection with the pre-seed raise. The engagement forms part of the firm's work with technology businesses and their founders on corporate structuring and venture financing, including transactions involving international investors in African businesses.
